CANARY BODEGA

Bodegas are known for offering a wide variety of items and creating a bond with their community. Similar to Canary, the bodega store owners get to know their customers at a more personal level. This leaves their customers feeling a sense of comfort and belonging that leads to them supporting their local bodega time and time again.

With bodegas in mind, Canary wanted to emulate their signature experience in a fun, virtual, way that everyone can enjoy, no matter where they live.

The concept behind the merchandise and their packaging took inspiration from the goods that you would find at a typical bodega. Each designer was tasked with a different item. Mine was to develop packaging for a deli sandwich, that would turn out to be a t-shirt. In addition to the physical merchandise, we created downloadable posters that guests would receive after winning a mini-game in the bodega.
